6 months agoReally cute restaurant. I had eggs, home fried potatoes bacon and pancake. Very good and coffee was very good and price can’t be beat. Excellent friendly service. Great surprise find from my unexpected detour.

7 months agoThe food and service was fantastic. Our waitress had a great attitude and was very attentive. We ordered the lunch special and were not disappointed.

8 months agoA friend and I played 18 holes of golf on a hot day at eagle ridge, and we decided to get lunch at the closest local place. So on the tracks was it, and boy did they not disappoint. The catfish sandwich was good, like really good, like drive to get it good. The place is small, cozy and has diner feels from another time. Waitress was great the locals where welcoming and the food was fantastic. If you find yourself in the paris area, stop in and get the catfish sandwich, and come hungry. Pro tip: get the home made French fries. They are killer. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend.

9 months agoMy friend and I arrived just about closing we didn't know because we were from out of town had never been there before and felt bad and started to leave but the waitress went out of here way to have us seated welcome my friend and I to the city of Paris Ill. We were the only customer's inside the restaurant because they were closed at this time. The place looked very clean and had a sense of hometown style. I ordered the Roast beef and potatoes & carrots and it was to died for! I have never ate anything so delicious. Give me that recipe and I will pay for it. My friend got Burger and fries and she said It was the best she had ate in years. The owner was there and she was very friendly making sure we were comfortable with our dinner experience. I rate this Restaurant by the Tracks in Illinois 1 out 10 a ten and some. I hope people reading this will take a trip or vacation and experience the outstanding food and great service you will find there. a year agoAmerican comfort food. Everything was great. Especially enjoyed the homemade ranch dressing. Even the green beans were thoroughly seasoned and wonderful, and I don't usually enjoy green beans at all. Server was friendly and attentive. Great experience. Will definitely be back.

2 years agoMe and my family found this place after driving all night to make it for the solar eclipse in the zone of totality. We walked in at 8:30am and the locals immediately made us feel welcome and introduced us to others. The staff was amazing and made great food recommendations. The fresh, hand-cut fries were to die for. Service was spectacular and felt like coming home, and the food was amazing! Clearly family run, with family in the kitchen. Food came out with very little wait, even though they were making everything fresh. Thanks for treating us Wisconsinites so well!! 🥰

3 years agoCatfish yummy!!!... cooked nicely, still flakey, not muddy and had a tasty batter. Country fried steak was very good but, gravy was not as creamy as we like. Neither are too peppery. Fries were fresh cut, crisp, hot and delicious! Beer Cheese broccoli soup was delectable and nice chunks of broccoli!!! Side salad was prepared fresh, crisp and good. All in all, a very enjoyable experience, delicious food, hometown atmosphere and very friendly. We will definitely be back!
